Patnitop is among the most popular hill resorts of Jammu & Kashmir, located in the Udhampur district on a serene plateau in the Shivalik range of the Himalayas.

The Patnitop Marathon is designed to combine endurance sport with nature at its finest, making it one of India’s most scenic and challenging hill races.

• 50 KM Ultra Marathon, 21.1 KM Half Marathon, 10 KM Competitive Race:
  Minimum age: 18 years

• 5 KM Competitive Race:
  Minimum age: 10 years

Race start timings will be communicated closer to the event date.

Age-Wise Competitive Categories

(For 50 KM, 21.1 KM, 10 KM and 5 KM – Male & Female)

• 18 to under 35 years

• 35 to under 45 years

• 45 to under 55 years

• 55 years and above

Every registered participant will receive:

Awards and Prizes

• 21.1 KM & 10 KM:
  Top 3 winners in each age category will receive cash prizes, to be distributed within 90 days of event completion.

• 5 KM Race:
  Top 3 winners in each category will receive a winner’s trophy and certificate.

Refund and Cancellation Policy

• All registrations for 50 KM, 21.1 KM, 10 KM, and 5 KM categories are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Race Day Dos and Don’ts

1. No spot registrations will be allowed

2. Participants must wear their official BIB at all times

3. Participants without a valid BIB will not be permitted to race

4. Hydration support will be available on race day

5. Participants must ensure they are medically fit to run or walk

6. Ambulance and paramedical teams will be available for safety

7. Volunteers will be present for general guidance and assistance

Results Authentication and Fair Play Policy

The Patnitop Marathon follows strict race integrity standards. Participants may be disqualified for any of the following violations:

A. Impersonation or running with another participant’s BIB
B. Proxy running or running with multiple BIBs
C. Submission of false information, especially incorrect date of birth
D. Course deviation or course cutting
E. Prior disqualification by other national or international event organizers
F. Any violation of the above rules

Decisions by the organizing committee will be final.
